| A
straining neck - so just what is in there then ? |
|
The one and only regular visitor to the box was back four times today,
and took slightly longer to peruse the accommodation than on
previous 'glancing' visits:
1) 9.37am for 45 seconds
2)
11.22am
for 15 seconds
3)
12.03pm for 10 seconds
4)
1.17pm for 25 seconds
The first three were fairly
normal 'look and see' exercises, and sometimes the garden around
the box looked more interesting than the hole in the wood:
It was the fourth visit that differed to the others. and at
times we couldn't help but laugh at the inquisitiveness of the
bird. However far it pushed its head in, it
just
wasn't
going to go
any further, and it wasn't going to change its grip on the hole!
It must have peered through the opening at just about every
angle:
You
can see the inquisitive bird here.
The high was 10.1°C today, making it the warmest day for
9 days. However early morning fog is forecast with the possibility
of a 'brighter later' period by mid-day.
