| Two
more visits and the Big Garden Birdwatch |
|
A fairly pleasant morning, with almost blue skies at times although
the wind picked up a little after lunchtime and the clouds moved
over. The high was 8.9°C.
The same visitor that we
have seen over the past few days was back again this morning, although
only twice at 9.38am and 10.22am:

Along with thousands of other people around the UK this weekend,
we took an hour today to take part in the RSPB Big Garden Watch
survey.
Here's what we saw between 1.30pm and 2.30pm - probably not
the best time to do it, as the wind was blowing a little at times!

We looked back at what we saw last year, and most of the species
were roughly the same, except this year we saw 5 fewer Chaffinches
and 6 fewer Blue Tits. Chaffinches have had a hard time of late,
but where have all the Blue Tits gone? Maybe the Sparrowhawk
(which we also saw during the hour watch) has been busier than
we realised!
